Pakistan 72 (all out; 39.3 overs)
Umar Amin 23
Umar Akmal 17
Pakistan have been skittled out for a mere 72 after winning the toss and electing to bat first in the second Test against England at Edgbaston.
The tourists opted to make two changes, with wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider handed a Test debut at the expense of Kamran Akmal, while off-spinner Saeed Ajmal replaced Danish Kaneria.
England stuck with the same eleven who won the first Test at Trent Bridge by 354 runs and made swift inroads after the tourists won the toss and elected to bat first.
Imran Farhat was the first to go, edging a Stuart Broad to Matt Prior after failing to score from 24 balls faced. Skipper Salman Butt (7) then fell to make the score 9-2, with Steven Finn forcing the left-hander into a thick edge to Graeme Swann at second slip.
Shoaib Malik managed a mere three before he snicked a James Anderson away-swinger and Prior dived to his right to make a fine catch and it was 29-4 when Azhar Ali was trapped leg before wicket by Broad for a 32-ball duck. Umar Akmal managed to make 17 before he was adjudged leg before to a Finn delivery which cut back and kept low.
The tourists’ pre-lunch misery was complete when debutant Zulqarnain got a thin edged to his first ball in Test cricket, giving Broad his third wicket.
After the break England continued to do damage, with Umar Amin edging Broad to Paul Collingwood and departing for a determined 23. Anderson then had Umar Gul (1) caught at gully by Kevin Pietersen, before Alastair Cook took a fine running catch off Anderson to get rid of Mohammad Amir for 12.
The innings was over at 72 all out when Mohammad Asif lifted a catch to Pietersen without failing to trouble the scorers.

A true iPhone KIRF running Windows XP may still be the stuff of dreams — crazy, fevered dreams — but it looks like we now have the next best thing: the iPhone-ish Shanshui P72. Boasting a 7-inch WVGA screen, this MID-sized device packs a 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, WiFi and 3G connectivity, built-in GPS, and no less than three USB ports, which will let you attach a keyboard and mouse for an authentic Windows XP experience. Sadly, there’s no indication of pricing or availability, but you can check it out in action in the video after the break, and get an extensive look at the device at the source link below.

We heard back in mid-March that Rhapsody for iPhone was getting an offline mode for downloading music and playing at times of no reception (like most subway rides). Good news, folks, today is the day the app get this coveted update. Lest we forget, too, with this summer’s OS 4 release finally enables background music, Real’s aural offering just got even more enticing. Press release after the break, or hit up the iTunes link to download now — don’t forget, though, that a monthly subscription plan is still required for playback.

For those among us who want to jump on the BlackBerry bandwagon, but desire a slightly more distinctive device — you know who you are — here’s some official indication of an incoming new color option for the Bold 9700. Commended as perhaps the finest device RIM has been able to concoct so far, the 9700 is now being shown sporting a new, creamy white exterior over on RIM’s official Thailand website. Seems like the company is developing a habit of diversifying its handsets’ colors after giving the classical black some time to hog the spotlight. Here’s to hoping the repainted phones filter out to more local online locations and nearby quality phone retailers nice and quickly. A pic of the newly white rear can be found after the break.
