PPPs senior minister Raja Riaz Ahmed strongly criticizing Punjab CM said that Sialkot tragedy has badly failed the claims of good governance of the provincial government. He said that if he was the chief executive, he would have given resignation from the post.
In a press conference in Lahore, Raja said that Sharif courts played their role to defeat PPP candidate in Bahawalpur. He blamed that a conspiracy was hatched in the CM Secretariate to rout PPP candiates in Lodhran, Sargodha and Gujranwala. Whereas, DIG Gujranwala was replaced because he refused to help manipulate the by-polls.
He said that the Punjab government has failed to help rescue flood victims instead its leadership is busy in photo sessions and aid is limited to banners and helicopters. He accused that an illegal canal was drawn from River Chenab to provide water to CM Punjabs sugar mill named Ramzan Sugar Mill. He said that this canal has washed away 25 villages in the floods. Raja Riaz said that he is totally unauthorized while the CM who already has ministries of education and health should take his ministry of irrigation. He said that if Punjab government tries to rig the by-elections in future, then there will be dama dum masat qalamdar.
